As explained in How can I fix error code 0x80310000 for windows 10 mobile update? the Bitlocker encryption was the problem and the upgrade worked after suspending it for the other system. The problem reoccurred when I was upgrading my system which I had installed to another partition, while I had encrypted the system at the first partition with Bitlocker. In the second case I could solve this by suspending Bitlocker encryption. I found this solution at Lincoln IT Solutions Upgrading Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro – Error Code 0x803fa067. In the first case disabling the network connection by enabling the flight mode of my laptop solved the problem. This problem occurred to me two times for different reasons with different error codes and with different solutions: Try upgrading your edition of Windows again. Management console was called the following: With regards to the actual applications you use, the naming logic goes as follows: In general, we have to differentiate Product / Application names and Offering / Packages names. I will try to share a bit of the internal story here, to explain the details, and remove the confusion (which I admit, might exist especially for long term customers of ESET). So, as you may have guessed from the title, I'm completely lost! Could anyone clear this up for me? All I'm looking for is the 'basic' or 'Protect Entry' features, but all anyone wants to talk about is selling me the 'Advanced' packages. And they list it as working with EndPoint Security, but not AntiVirus? While other documentation says it needs to be purchased as 'Protect'. Now their documentation states it's included in all of their bundles. Then I check technical support documentation, which shows that 'Protect' is just another name for their Central Management, which I wanted to try getting back to using. So I ask what the differences are to their PreSales support, and my vendor. So now we're renewing, and they're offering the same product alongside 'Protect Advanced'. I also noticed our last renewal was for ESet EndPoint Protection Advanced (I always thought we just used Standard). When we moved to 7, the upgrade/migration process for central management looked to be on the time-consuming and difficult side. Typically, we just use ESet Endpoint AntiVirus, and I managed it with their old 6.X Management system. I've had ESet here for a while, and it's renewal time. "I run a combination of RAID 0 SSDs and RAID 0 HDDs and use Smart Defrag Pro to analyse, defrag and keep my drives running at peak performance. I am well pleased with this product." William Howes Iobit is constantly upgrading and striving to make the product even better as time goes by. Having My "Smart Defrag 8 Pro" set to auto defrag, and running a "Defrag and Optimize" once a week, keeps my system running smooth and well. Being an older machine, my computer system tends to become fragmented quite easily. Because I am running an older machine with 6 drives, including 2 external, I find that Iobit's "Smart Defrag 8 Pro" has served me very well. "I have been using Iobit products for a good many years now. Smart Defrag's updates include a new defrag engine, specialized Game Defrag, a cool new look, and many more language options (35 and counting)." Cnet Its SSD Trim tool automatically enables system tweaks that typically require experience to apply. "IObit Smart Defrag optimizes your PC to take full advantage of SSD performance while defragmenting your hard disks. HDClone 4.3 also allows to create backup images on storage media with differing sector sizes. Users can clone hard disks in any way they want and don’t have to care for sector sizes-HDClone 4.3 makes the neccessary modifications to the file system automatically. This latest version of HDClone supports cloning hard disks with different sector sizes directly and in any direction, for example from a 512 byte to a 4k-native hard disk and the other way round, too. To avoid these problems, Miray Software decided to take a different approach with HDClone 4.3. Therefore, the technology used inside the hard disk may not be visible to the outside.Įmulating 512 byte sectors does not satisfy all cases and sometimes causes problems. For maintaining compatibility, some of these hard disks still present themselves as conventional 512 byte media (512e). This saves disk space which is used as additional storage capacity in modern drives. At the same disk capacity, this reduces the number of sectors required and consequently the amount of management data on the disk. The Advanced-Sector-Format allows to produce larger hard disks by using modern sector sizes of 1 kB (1Kn) and 4 kB (4Kn) instead of the 512 byte sectors as they have been in use for over 30 years now. HDClone 4.3 can actively clone and backup latestst hard disks using the Advanced Format and also creates dynamic VMDK and VHD images. By presenting HDClone 4.3 to the public on, Miray Software introduces the latest version of the famous cloning and backup tool. Not only do you have to start teaching those things all over again, but also the activities that rely on these will be impossible for at least a few weeks. Back to square one: This new class doesn’t know how to do any of the things you’ve been patiently teaching your other classes, e.g., pairwork, using English classroom language, or phonics. What if something happens that you hadn’t even dreamt about? And that’s just one of the 100 things that could happen, even if they are very unlikely. Fear of the unexpected: Even favourite, tried-and-tested lessons can fail.Lack of information: We don’t know all the personality traits, learning styles, difficulties and strengths, etc., that new students may have. Here are some reasons why first classes are usually the most difficult ones: It’s not surprising, really – how could the second class possibly be more difficult than the first one? Like anything that seems so obvious, it is worth examining why we think this is true, so that we can work out if it really needs to be that way. Even after twelve years of being in the classroom, my heart always beats faster and I toss and turn a little more in bed before the start of each new class. With the possible exception of saying goodbye to students that you love teaching, the most difficult classes are always the first ones. Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship. That this built-in ad-blocker is designed to be industry-friendly shows how far-reaching this initiative could be. Chrome users in APAC and North America are the most likely to be blocking ads on their PCs/laptops, but it’s still around 4 in 10 in every other region doing so too. This could be an important industry step towards responsible and non-intrusive online advertising, especially with 44% of internet users saying they use Chrome on their PCs/laptops.Īmong these Chrome desktop users, it’s almost half who are already using ad-blockers. Our chart series this week explores ad-blocking as, after having worked closely with publishers for some time now, Google is set to release its ad-blocker on the Chrome web browser tomorrow. |
